The contractor handling the construction of the Igbogbo Stadium on behalf of the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), has completed the track laying of the field.
It was gathered that the government is planning to commission the stadium in December.
The pitch has also been barricaded with barb wire to prevent unauthorized encroachment.
THE IMPACT had reported the laying of the track which commenced third week in July this year.
However, seats are yet to be fixed on the stand which has 1200 capacity. The stand was put in place months back.
Under the stand are offices, changing rooms and stores
There is also no sign of lawn tennis and basketball court which the commission promised will be part of the sporting arena at the commencement of the contract.
The multipurpose hall that is also expected to be constructed within the stadium is also in place.
The construction of the stadium started in 2021.
